Been Here, Been Queer

Been Here, Been Queer, spearheaded by the Good Intentions Collective, brought together a vibrant community of creatively talented queer artists in an art market celebration of pride, expression, and solidarity. The event showcased diverse artworks and creations, highlighting the voices, stories, and talents of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Em Barrera facilitated a discussion on Queer Youth, Healthy Future and delivered a solidarity message that emphasized the continuing fight against stigma and discrimination based on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC). The session encouraged meaningful conversations on inclusion, health, and the importance of creating safe and affirming spaces for queer individuals.

Further strengthening the event’s commitment to community well-being, Athena by LoveYourself provided free and confidential HIV testing services and distributed condoms to attendees. Through art, advocacy, and accessible health services, Been Here, Been Queer served as a powerful celebration of queer visibility, empowerment, and collective action toward a more inclusive future. The event was held on June 6, 2026, at the Gimenez Gallery, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
